South African fans of soul, R&B and pop have a major summer highlight to look forward to, with British singer-songwriter Olivia Dean confirmed as the headline act for Milk + Cookies Festival 2027.
The Grammy-winning artist will perform in Cape Town on Thursday, 29 January 2027, before taking the stage in Johannesburg on Sunday, 31 January.
Known for her soulful vocals and hit song ‘The Man I Need’, Dean has become one of contemporary music’s most exciting names. Her 2023 debut album, Messy, helped introduce her distinctive blend of classic soul, modern pop and R&B to a wider audience.
Her rise reached another milestone at the 2026 Grammy Awards, where she won Best New Artist.
The festival returns following previous editions featuring international performers KAYTRANADA and Gunna, promising another opportunity for South African audiences to experience global music talent on home soil.
Fans planning to attend either show should take note of the pre-registration dates. Registration opened on Howler at 10:00 on Friday, 23 October 2026, and closes on Wednesday, 28 October 2026.
Pre-registration can be completed through the official Milk + Cookies Festival website.
