Your roots in colour: Win big with Takealot’s Heritage Design Challenge

With Heritage Day on the horizon, Takealot is inviting the nation to showcase its pride and creativity with another return of its Heritage Design Challenge.
As always, one winning design will not only scoop up a R100 000 Takealot voucher, but will also feature on one million Takealot delivery boxes during the festive season – a moving canvas of South African heritage delivered door-to-door.
To add to the spirit of giving, the winner will also receive a R10 000 voucher to donate to a South African charity of their choice. A second-place winner will also be walking away with a R20 000 Takealot voucher.
How to enter:
The challenge is simple but powerful:
- Download the Heritage Design template (available here in English, Afrikaans, isiXhosa, isiZulu and seSotho)
- Take a moment, reflect on your heritage, and visually re-imagine the Takealot box
- Use the colours of the South African flag, and include Takealot’s signature blue, to bring your vision to life
- Submit your design, along with a short motivation of what your unique design and your South African heritage mean to you, via Takealot’s WhatsApp line (061 025 4949) by 11:59pm on 24 September 2025 (Heritage Day)
Your design can be submitted as an image or video (or both), while your motivation can be sent using text, video or voice note. You can also enter in multiple languages, but you may only submit one entry.
