Supermodel Gigi Hadid gave fans a glimpse into her daughter Khai’s 5th birthday celebration, sharing heart-warming moments from an intimate family gathering. The bash carried a playful “Lilo & Stitch” theme, complete with a two-tier rainbow cake and a banner declaring “Khai is five.”
In her Instagram post, Hadid shared photos of the colourful setup and tender moments of herself hugging Khai. True to her long-standing commitment to protecting her child’s privacy, Khai’s face remained hidden from the images.
A mother’s love in words and pictures
Alongside the snapshots, the 30-year-old model wrote a heartfelt caption: “Celebrating you is the Best Day Ever, every year.” She added that her daughter is the light of her life and that she feels lucky and proud to be her mother, punctuating her disbelief with a playful “p.s. 5 HOW?!?”
Hadid welcomed Khai in September 2020 at her Pennsylvania home, surrounded by her mother, Yolanda Hadid; her sister, Bella; and then-partner, Zayn Malik. Since then, she has balanced sharing occasional glimpses of her daughter with keeping her largely out of the public eye.
Zayn Malik’s quiet approach
While Hadid posted her annual tribute, Zayn Malik did not share anything publicly this year. This, however, is consistent with his parenting style. The former One Direction star has spoken before about wanting to raise Khai away from the spotlight. In a 2023 interview, he explained that his goal is to keep her “grounded and enjoying the earth, rather than all the noise that comes with it.”
