Jack Parow Drops ‘Dis DDP’ Anthem to Fire Up South Africa for Dricus du Plessis’ Title Defence

Jack Parow has turned up the volume on South Africa’s fight fever with his latest track, Dis DDP, a fierce, proudly local anthem dedicated to UFC middleweight champion Dricus “Stillknocks” du Plessis.
The rapper’s mission is simple: give South Africans a battle cry as Du Plessis faces what many are calling the toughest fight of his career.
A soundtrack for the nation
Parow, known for his larger-than-life energy and unapologetic patriotism, created the track with longtime collaborator Loki Rothman. It’s more than a hype song; it’s a rallying point for fans who will be watching their champion defend his title this weekend.
Taking to Instagram, Parow called on supporters to stream, share, and blast the track everywhere. “Because we love him,” he posted, adding that he wanted to show “extra spirit and support” for the champ.
Backing the champ in person
Parow isn’t just sending good vibes from the studio. He’s flying to Chicago to stand in Du Plessis’ corner as he walks into the Octagon at UFC 319 on Saturday, 16 August. For South African fans, that means a 4 am start on Sunday to catch the fight live.
In the main event at the United Center, Du Plessis will defend his world middleweight title against undefeated Russian contender Khamzat Chimaev. The bout comes just months after his unanimous decision win over Sean Strickland at UFC 312 in Sydney and follows title defences against Strickland and Israel Adesanya.

High stakes in Chicago
Chimaev is a dangerous opponent with a spotless record, making this fight Du Plessis’ most formidable challenge since he first took the belt from Strickland in January last year.
For Parow and many South Africans, Dis DDP isn’t just music; it’s part of the fight itself, a way to channel national pride and send it all the way to Chicago.
The track is now live on all major streaming platforms, ready to become the unofficial soundtrack to a title defence that could once again put South African MMA at the centre of the global stage.
