‘It Doesn’t Make Sense’: Family of 11-Year-Old Found Dead in Fleurhof Speaks Out

The family of 11-year-old Jayden-Lee Meek is demanding answers after his lifeless body was discovered in a disturbing state at a residential complex in Fleurhof, west of Johannesburg.

Jayden-Lee was found in the early hours of Wednesday morning on a staircase at Swazi’s Place, undressed and showing signs of severe physical trauma. His family says he had been missing since Tuesday after failing to return from school.

Despite searching for him the night before, the boy was only discovered hours later, left on the doorstep of his family’s flat with visible bruises. The family believes the circumstances around his death are suspicious and refuse to accept vague explanations.

“It just doesn’t add up,” said his uncle. “You don’t find a child lying naked on the stairs and assume he’s sleeping. He was brutally beaten. We’re not going to rest until we find out what happened to my nephew.”

Authorities have not released further details about the investigation, but the family insists the case must be thoroughly examined to uncover the truth and bring those responsible to justice.
