Gauteng Gears Up for G20 Summit: Premier Lesufi to Brief Media on State of Readiness
Gauteng Government to brief media on provincial state of readiness for the G20 Leaders’ Summit
The Gauteng Provincial Government (GPG) will on Tuesday, 4 November 2025, brief members of the media on the province’s state of readiness to host the upcoming G20 Leaders’ Summit.
The briefing will be led by Gauteng Premier, Panyaza Lesufi, who will be joined by Members of the Executive Council (MECs), Executive Mayors, and Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of key provincial entities.
The briefing will outline the province’s comprehensive preparedness measures across critical areas, including safety and security, infrastructure, logistics and hospitality as Gauteng positions itself as a premier destination for major global events.
Following the briefing, ACSA CEO, Mpumi Mpofu will facilitate a guided tour of the OR Tambo International Airport, Africa’s gateway to the world. Members of the media will get first-hand experience of the province’s operational readiness and world-class aviation facilities.
