Armed heist in Ironside ends in deadly shootout, two suspects killed

“During the robbery, a shootout occurred between the suspects and a victim, resulting in two suspects being fatally shot,” Sibeko said.

The victim, caught in the crossfire, sustained a gunshot wound and was rushed to hospital for treatment. Authorities have not disclosed the severity of the injury.

The remaining four suspects fled the scene in two vehicles. Police have launched an intensive manhunt to track them down and have appealed to the public for any information that could aid the investigation.
