Early-Morning Pretoria Bus and Car Collision Ends With Only Minor Injuries

Pretoria West was the scene of an early morning crash on Thursday when a bus and a car collided before striking a tree. Remarkably, all four people involved walked away with only minor injuries.
A frightening start to the day
Emergency Medical Solutions confirmed that the incident happened at around 5:22 am. By the time paramedics arrived, they found the bus had two occupants, and the car also carried two people. All four were assessed on-site for minor injuries and found to be in a stable condition.
Dean Slater, spokesperson for Emergency Medical Solutions, said the quick response of medics ensured that everyone received immediate care. “All patients were assessed on scene,” he explained, adding that none of the injuries were life-threatening.
Cause under investigation
The details of how the crash unfolded remain unclear. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine what caused the bus to collide with the car before slamming into a tree. Early reports confirm only that no fatalities occurred, despite the severity of the impact.
Relief and reflection
In a city where road accidents are a daily reality, Thursday’s outcome was unusually fortunate. Many residents expressed relief on social media that no lives were lost, calling it a “miracle escape” given the early hour and the size of the vehicles involved.
For Pretoria West, the crash is another reminder of the importance of road safety and driver vigilance, particularly during the early morning commute when visibility and fatigue often play a role in accidents.
