Severe Weather Warnings Issued For Parts Of SA

The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued severe weather alerts as heavy rains and thundershowers continue into the week across Gauteng, Free State, KwaZulu-Natal, and other provinces.
Flooding And Strong Winds Expected
Authorities have warned of localised flooding, particularly at bridges and low-lying areas, along with damaging winds that could disrupt communities. Motorists are urged to exercise caution on the roads.
Areas Most At Risk
“Isolated showers and thundershowers dominate the eastern parts, which would also cover the North West, Gauteng, Free State, into the eastern half of the Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, as well as parts of Mpumalanga and Limpopo. However, a scattered chance of showers and thundershowers is expected for the northern parts of Limpopo,” explained SAWS forecaster Lehlohonolo Thobela.
