Msendami Wanted by Chiefs and Pirates After Standout PSL Season

Zimbabwean winger Daniel Msendami is fast becoming one of the most sought-after players in South African football, drawing strong interest from both Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates. At just 24 years old, the Marumo Gallants attacker has impressed in his debut PSL season and could soon spark a transfer bidding war.

Msendami first made a name for himself with Jwaneng Galaxy in Botswana, where his pace and skill turned heads in CAF competitions. His former coach, Morena Ramoreboli, predicted he would shine in South Africa—and it’s now clear that prediction was right.

Despite an unsuccessful trial with Cape Town Spurs, Marumo Gallants snapped him up on a free deal. Since then, the versatile winger has not only scored three goals and registered three assists in 31 appearances but has also shown adaptability in multiple positions—playing on both flanks and as a wing-back.

Msendami’s profile skyrocketed after scoring in Gallants’ 2-1 win over Kaizer Chiefs, earning Man of the Match. His standout performances have reignited interest from Soweto giants, with both Chiefs and Pirates reportedly making inquiries, according to iDiski Times.

Before joining Gallants, Msendami helped Jwaneng Galaxy eliminate Pirates from the CAF Champions League qualifiers. That performance further established his pedigree in big matches and caught the attention of clubs beyond South Africa, including SuperSport United.

Interest isn’t limited to the local scene. European clubs are said to be monitoring his progress closely, raising the possibility of an overseas move when the transfer window opens.

With Gallants known for turning rising stars into high-value transfers, Msendami could be their next big sale. The club secured him for nothing, but they may cash in significantly if the interest continues to build.

As the season wraps up, Msendami’s future is wide open—but one thing is clear: he’s no longer flying under the radar.
