For years, NY Slice Pizza has been serving up authentic New York–style pies to hungry Capetonians who swear by its foldable, super-sized slices. This September, Joburgers finally get a taste of the hype. The new Parkhurst corner spot is more than just a restaurant it’s a hangout with a retro diner feel, casual mood, and even a kids’ corner to keep little hands busy while you tuck in.

What’s Cooking on the Menu

The food philosophy here is simple: keep it classic, keep it big. The menu features 11 topping options with two sizes a generous 30cm or a massive 50cm. Local favourites include the NY pepperoni, BBQ chicken, and the always-controversial Hawaiian. For the adventurous, there’s also the option to build your own.

Launch Night: Pizza, Parties and DJs

The official launch kicks off on Friday, 5 September, and it’s more street party than soft opening. To top it off, the night doubles as the launch of Daily Perks Coffee, so caffeine lovers are in for a treat.
