DStv Delicious 2025: Lauryn Hill, Joyous Celebration, Lira Live

It’s back, and it’s louder than ever. The DStv Delicious International Food and Music Festival, powered by LottoStar, returns to Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit on 20 and 21 September 2025, bringing with it a powerhouse lineup that blends global legends with local soul.
Whether you’re here for the gospel, the groove, or the gourmet, this year’s edition, timed perfectly with Heritage Month, is shaping up to be a cultural high point of the year.
Gospel Meets Soul at Sunday’s Showcase
Sunday’s lineup is where the heart hits hardest. Joyous Celebration Rewind will lead the day with an alumni set that includes Khaya Mthethwa, setting a spiritual tone for the day. Expect praise, power, and unmatched vocal arrangements.
Next comes Mandisi Dyantyis, bringing his signature blend of jazz and African folk, a SAMA and NAACP favourite, followed by Zoë Modiga, whose Afro-jazz brilliance and recent accolades have made her a national treasure. Her set promises reflection, rhythm, and a lot of soul.
Lauryn Hill’s Long-Awaited Return
Headlining Sunday night is the iconic Ms. Lauryn Hill, celebrating 25 years of The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. South African fans will finally get to hear classics like Doo Wop (That Thing) and Ex-Factor live, with appearances by Wyclef Jean, Zion Marley, and YG Marley marking the occasion.
Her 1998 solo debut was recently crowned Apple Music’s Best Album of All Time, and this performance is expected to be one of the most meaningful the festival has ever hosted.
Lira Reclaims Her Stage
After time away from the spotlight, Lira returns in full voice. With 11 SAMAs to her name and a legacy of soulful South African ballads, her comeback is more than just a performance; it’s a moment.
Fans have already taken to socials, saying, “Lira and Lauryn Hill on the same stage? I’m crying already.”
Food, Fashion and the Channel O Dance Stage
Of course, DStv Delicious isn’t only about the music. Expect gourmet street food, fashion and art installations, and a serious vibe across the venue. The Channel O Dance Stage will bring amapiano, house, kwaito, and more, with Saturday’s full line-up dropping soon, but history says it’ll be fire.
