Johannesburg’s ultimate live music celebration is set to make its springtime comeback this September, bringing thousands of fans together for a day filled with sunshine, South African talent, and serious vibes. Galaxy 947 Joburg Day 2025 will take over Crocodile Creek Polo Club, Lanseria, on Saturday, 6 September, from 9 am.

This year’s festival is powered by the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and promises a bigger, bolder experience on one massive stage. Whether you are there for the amapiano beats, pop melodies, or hip-hop bars, the line-up is pure fire: Kelvin Momo, DJ Maphorisa, Will Linley, Nasty C, Goodluck, Mörda, and DJ Kent. More surprise acts are still to be announced, so fans are already speculating online about which chart-toppers might join the bill.

A Joburg tradition with a picnic twist

What makes Galaxy 947 Joburg Day different from your average music festival is its laid-back, picnic-style setting. Families, groups of friends, and die-hard music fans flock to the polo grounds with blankets, snacks, and sunscreen in hand. Tickets and pricing

General access tickets are R450 per person, or you can grab a Family Pack for R1000, which covers two adults and two kids under 18. For a more exclusive vibe, the Chill Zone tickets are R700 each with no under-18s allowed. All tickets are available via Ticketmaster, with a maximum of 20 tickets per person.

Children under 3 years are not permitted at the event, and kids aged 3 to 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Anyone with a children’s ticket who is over 18 will be denied entry.
