Bluey’s Big Day Out: Free Family Fun at Design Quarter

Bluey is coming to Joburg

If you have little ones at home, you’ve probably heard the excited squeals when Bluey’s theme song comes on. Now, those squeals are about to get louder because the much-loved Australian children’s character is heading to Design Quarter for a special family morning that is completely free.

What’s happening on the day?

On Saturday, 23 August, from 11:00 to 13:00, families can meet Bluey in person, snap a photo on stage, and take part in a host of child-friendly activities. There will be a colouring-in station and other fun surprises, making it a great excuse to get out and spend quality time together.

With a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, the event is designed to let parents and kids enjoy a stress-free morning filled with laughter and games.

How to join in

This is a free event, but there’s a catch: tickets are capped at 1 000 guests and will be handed out on the day at the centre. That means arriving early is essential if you want to secure a spot.

Whether your child is Bluey’s biggest fan or you just want a cheerful family outing that won’t cost a cent, this is one to put in the calendar.
