Zoalize Jansen van Rensburg Secures Miss World 2025 Quarterfinal Spot with Designer Win

In the Miss World 2025 pageant, Zoalize Jansen van Rensburg of South Africa made significant progress by winning the coveted World Designer Award for the Africa region. The award was given out during the international competition’s Top Model segment, which was held this past weekend at Hyderabad, India’s storied Trident Hotel.

She attracted attention and honored South Africa’s cultural diversity with her stunning appearance in a custom gown created by Juan William Aria. The protea, South Africa’s national flower and a symbol of strength, diversity, and unity, was a striking focal point of the satin glass dress, which also included elaborate hand embroidery.

With sincere gratitude to her designer, Zoalize remarked, “This gown is a celebration of who we are as a people — diverse, rooted, and proud.”

Getting into the Quarterfinals

One of the Miss World competition’s fast-track events is the Top Model segment. Contestants have the option to advance straight to the quarterfinals and bypass elimination rounds in these events. In doing so, Zoalize now joins three other regional winners: Aurélie Joachim from Martinique (Americas & Caribbean), Selma Kamanya from Namibia (Africa), Nandini Gupta from India (Asia & Oceania), and Jasmine Gerhardt from Ireland (Europe).

The Miss World Organization made the announcement and commended the 108 contestants this year for their strength and inventiveness.

A Passionate and Purposeful Journey

Fashion and glamour haven’t been the only aspects of Zoalize’s Miss World journey. She has worked to elevate young voices and draw attention to important community stories through her advocacy project, Never Too Young to Advocate.

She wrote on social media, “This has been an adventure of a lifetime.” “I had the opportunity to tell the tale of my project’s amazing friends and family. At every turn, I have felt encouraged and empowered.

The world will watch to see if Zoalize can win the title at the Miss World 2025 Grand Finale, which is set for May 31 at Hyderabad’s HITEX Exhibition Centre.
