Fresh off hosting the 2025 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, the Johannesburg-born global star is back with what many are already calling her next chart-topper. The 23-year-old singer, known for her effortlessly genre-blending sound, gave followers a behind-the-scenes sneak peek into the making of “Is It” with a video of her and choreographer Lee-ché “Litchi Hov” Janecke dancing in studio. Within hours, TikTok lit up.

“Is It” builds on the success of her May release, “Bliss,” and leans into her signature sound – a bold mix of Afro-pop and R&B with just the right amount of experimental flair. Tyla’s not playing it safe, and that’s exactly why she’s standing out.
