For many fans of Limpopo’s fast-rising Lekompo scene, Shebeshxt has always been more than just a controversial name. He has been a symbol of raw energy, street storytelling, and a sound that refuses to be ignored. But in 2026, the conversation around him has shifted sharply from music to the courtroom.
Now, his girlfriend, Kholofelo Chuene, has stepped into the spotlight with a public plea that has stirred strong reactions online.

The charges keeping him behind bars
Shebeshxt has been in custody since November 2025 following a shooting incident in Polokwane that shocked many of his supporters.
According to details presented in court, the incident allegedly unfolded during a road rage altercation at a petrol station. A motorist was shot in the stomach and rushed to the hospital in critical condition. The case was initially opened as attempted murder and later escalated to a specialised provincial unit for further investigation.
The rapper now faces multiple charges, including attempted murder, possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, and malicious damage to property. His bail application was denied in December 2025, and a later urgent appeal was dismissed by the High Court in January 2026.
His case has since been postponed to May 15, 2026, leaving him in custody as legal proceedings continue.

For some observers, this is not an isolated incident. Shebeshxt’s name has surfaced in legal matters before, including previous charges linked to violence and property damage.
