Sekhukhune United’s Shaune Mogaila was arrested after a high-speed car accident in Tembisa that killed a nine-year-old girl and injured two others. Mogaila’s BMW collided with a Hyundai carrying the young girl, her mother, and a 13-year-old boy. The mother and boy sustained serious injuries and were taken to the hospital. Mogaila fled the scene initially but later turned himself in at Rabie Ridge police station.
Ekurhuleni Metro Police discovered several bottles of potent alcohol in Mogaila’s car, along with cannabis and a white powder suspected to be cocaine. A security guard witnessed the crash, saying Mogaila’s car was moving dangerously fast before impact.
