Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has issued a stark warning: Donald Trump’s “criminal” regime change operations could trigger World War III.

In an interview with TASS published on Monday, Medvedevnow deputy chairman of Russia’s Security Councilwas asked if the world war has already begun.

“Technically, no, but if Trump continues his insane course of criminal regime change, it will undoubtedly begin. And any event could be the trigger. Any,” he said.

The Iran Factor

Medvedev framed the attack on Iran as part of a broader war by the US and its allies “to maintain global dominance.”

He described Trump’s assassination of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei as a “grave mistake” that has “put all Americans at risk.”

Following Khamenei’s death, Medvedev predicted a nuclear response: “There’s no doubt that Iran will triple its efforts to develop nuclear weapons.”

Iranian Resilience

Asked whether Iran can withstand the conflict and the deaths of its leaders, Medvedev acknowledged the cost will be highbut predicted the Islamic Republic will succeed.

“It requires a high degree of social consolidation. And the Americans have provided them with this consolidation.”

The Russia Question

Asked if Russia could one day be attacked like Iran, Medvedev offered a blunt answer: there is “only one guarantee” that this will not happen.

“The US fears Russia and knows the cost of a nuclear conflict.”

The Bottom Line

A former Russian president warning of world war. An Iranian leader assassinated. A nuclear program accelerated.

Medvedev’s words are not neutral analysisthey are a warning, a threat, and a statement of Russian. Whether Trump’s campaign in Iran escalates or stabilises, the risk of wider conflict is now being voiced at the highest levels.

And when Russia speaks of nuclear costs, the world listens.
