SARS to open selected branches on Saturdays during 2026 filing season

The South African Revenue Service (SARS) will open selected service centres on Saturdays during the 2026 filing season to assist taxpayers with Income Tax returns, the agency has announced. The measure provides extra in-person support ahead of the Individual Filing Season deadline of 23 October 2026.

What SARS is changing for 2026

SARS said selected branches will open on Saturdays from late July through October to help taxpayers who prefer face-to-face assistance or have complex queries. The initiative began on 25 July 2026 and runs until October, with weekend opening times typically from 08:00 to 13:00 on participating Saturdays.
