Jockey embraces a softer approach to summer with new collection

As summer approaches, Jockey South Africa is putting comfort at the centre of its latest underwear collection, with lightweight fabrics and understated designs aimed at making everyday dressing feel easier.

The brand’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection takes inspiration from slower summer mornings, relaxed routines and the simple pleasures of having time to unwind.

The range is designed to offer comfort from the bedroom to outdoor spaces, with breathable materials and styles intended to sit smoothly beneath clothing.

Underwear is worn close to the skin throughout the day, making fabric, fit and construction important considerations when it comes to everyday comfort.

Jockey South Africa marketing manager Nombuso Ncapai said the new collection focuses on lightweight materials and discreet finishes.

‘This is why the Jockey SS26 collection is focused on soft, lightweight fabrics, silhouettes designed to disappear beneath clothing and styles with features such as seamless construction, bonded edges and clean-cut finishes. Ultimately, what we want is to be able to forget about our underwear because it moves smoothly with us, it is perfectly comfortable for all-day wear and it feels good. We also want that confidence that it looks good, when we’re lounging around on our own or dressing up for a night out.’

The collection is intended to suit a range of everyday activities, from relaxing at home and spending time in the garden to going for a run or getting dressed for an evening out.

According to the brand, the collection combines soft fabrics with designs intended to minimise irritation and the need for constant adjustment.

One of its highlighted items is the new Jockey Microfibre Stretch Bra, which features soft microfibre fabric and stretch lace. The design aims to provide a smooth finish beneath clothing while offering support without a bulky feel.

Ncapai said the range reflects a more relaxed approach to summer dressing, with pieces designed around softness, comfort and confidence.

‘Jockey SS26 is about embracing a lighter, easier way of dressing for summer – with pieces designed around softness, comfort and everyday confidence. The new Jockey Microfibre Stretch Bra is a great example. Luxuriously soft microfibre feels smooth against the skin and glides effortlessly under clothing, while soft stretch lace adds a feminine touch without feeling scratchy or bulky.
