Dismembered Body Parts Discovered Near Elukwatini in Mpumalanga: Police Seek Public Help

A disturbing discovery of dismembered body parts has been made near Elukwatini in Mpumalanga. On Tuesday, a herder stumbled upon the remains, which included a human skull and a detached torso. Only the right arm was found, but the hand was missing. The left arm and both legs were not located at the scene.
Provincial police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Jabu Ndubane, confirmed the grim discovery, stating that the area’s headman contacted the authorities after the body parts were found. Police arrived at the scene to investigate further and confirmed the missing limbs.
The authorities are now urging anyone with missing relatives to report it immediately to the nearest police station. “There is no waiting period for reporting a missing person. Family members should report as soon as they realize someone is missing or suspect something may have happened,” said Ndubane.
Police are also calling on the public for any information that could help identify the remains or provide insight into the circumstances surrounding the discovery. Individuals who can assist are encouraged to contact Detective Sergeant Vusi Nkosi at 071 374 7759 or 082 798 0396. Alternatively, the Crime Stop number at 08600 10111 or the MYSAPSAPP app can also be used for tips.
In a separate incident, a man’s body was found inside the Kruger National Park on Monday. Rangers discovered the body while conducting their routine patrols. The man, believed to be in his 40s, had part of his right leg missing, leading authorities to suspect that he may have been attacked and killed by wild animals. Preliminary investigations suggest this may be the case, though the matter remains under investigation.
The identity of the man is still unknown, and police have confirmed that they will release his details once his family formally identifies him. Ndubane also warned the public against entering the park illegally, as wild animals pose a significant risk. “The park is home to dangerous animals that can harm or even kill humans,” he cautioned.
Authorities continue their investigations into both cases and are asking anyone with relevant information to come forward.
