Ten Killed in Gauteng Bus Crash on Free State Highway

At least ten people lost their lives after a bus traveling from Gauteng collided with a truck on the N6 highway in the Free State early Wednesday morning.

According to police, more than 20 injured passengers were rushed to various hospitals for medical treatment.
Police spokesperson Captain Loraine Earle confirmed that the bus, which was carrying 35 passengers, crashed between Reddersburg and Smithfield.
“The accident occurred at around 4:20 am. Emergency responders and police were still attending to the scene by 9 am,” Earle said.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash, as rescue teams worked for hours to clear the wreckage and assist survivors.
