EFF leader Julius Malema marked his 44th birthday with a generous donation of R200,000 to the Tembisa Child Welfare Society, a nonprofit organisation dedicated to caring for vulnerable children.

The organisation provides care and support to children who have been abandoned, abused, neglected, or orphaned. During his visit on March 3, Malema highlighted the importance of showing love and compassion to those in need, particularly children without families.

“It’s important to celebrate this day with the less fortunate, with those that some, are abandoned children – to show them love and to remind them that not all is lost. They are still being loved – there is still someone out there who loves them,” Malema said.

He praised the organisation for its impact, noting that it has helped raise future professionals, including doctors, teachers, and engineers. He also reaffirmed his commitment to supporting their work.

Malema urged the organisation to reach out whenever they needed assistance, emphasising that his donation was just a small step in addressing their challenges.

He also commended the care and dedication of the staff, noting that the well-being of the children reflected strong leadership within the organisation.

His visit reinforced his broader message of using personal milestones to give back to communities in need.
