Viewer warning: Three managers killed in Boxer shooting
The Boxer shooting left three female managers dead after a former employee allegedly opened fire during an internal disciplinary hearing at the retailer’s KwaZulu-Natal store on Saturday, 10 October, Joburg Etc reports.
KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda confirmed the incident, saying the suspect had attended an internal hearing before allegedly opening fire.
‘The suspect allegedly produced a firearm and shot three people who were declared dead at the scene,’ he said, according to TimesLIVE. Police have launched a manhunt for the former employee, who remains at large.
CCTV footage of the shooting has since circulated widely online. A Fight Against Crime Facebook post accompanying the footage asked: ‘What kind of society are we living in?’
The post also alleged that the incident followed a dispute over a refused leave request.
