WTC Final: South Africa Confirms Squad for Lord’s Battle with Australia

South Africa has named a strong 15-man squad for the ICC World Test Championship final against Australia, set to take place at Lord’s in London from 11 to 15 June. Coach Shukri Conrad confirmed the team on Tuesday, with key figures like Temba Bavuma, Kagiso Rabada, and Marco Jansen included for the high-stakes encounter.

The Proteas booked their place in the final after an impressive WTC campaign, winning eight of their 12 matches—finishing with seven consecutive victories that solidified their spot at the top.

The squad will gather in England on 31 May to begin preparations, which include a four-day warm-up match against Zimbabwe at Arundel from 3 to 6 June.

The final marks South Africa’s debut in the World Test Championship finale, and they’ll be aiming to cap off their consistent run with a historic win over Australia at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground.
