The Jozi Kota Festival is returning to Newtown on April 1, providing a platform for aspiring chefs to showcase their cuisine. In addition to food, the event will feature entertainment and family activities, with childminders available for parents who want to enjoy the new magic theatre as reported by Shwashwi Sunday World.

Organizers hope to attract students from universities and colleges near Braamfontein.

According to festival director Xolani Machele, this year’s event will be the biggest Kota festival in the country, with more surprises and entertainment on the main stage.

Machele also boasted that the initiative has created almost 200 jobs and expects more kota lovers to attend this year’s festival.
