A glittering stage in Nonthaburi

On 25 September 2025, the spotlight turned to Thailand as the Mister International 2025 competition unfolded at MCC Hall, The Mall Lifestore Ngamwongwan in Nonthaburi. With 42 contestants representing countries across the globe, the event was a showcase of style, culture and modern ideals of masculinity.

Thailand, which has become a key home for the contest since 2022, once again proved why it is seen as a hub of international pageantry. The production dazzled audiences with national costumes, runway presentations and question rounds designed to test more than just physical presence.

Breaking old moulds

Mister International has evolved in recent years. No longer a competition restricted to single, young men, the pageant now welcomes fathers, married contestants and even divorced men, reflecting the real lives of modern men. This inclusivity has been celebrated widely, as it brings a fresh perspective to what global pageantry can represent.

The 2025 edition highlighted not only glamour but also conversations around culture, diversity, and global identity. For Thailand, hosting the competition also underlined its growing reputation as a cultural leader in the male pageant world.

The rise of Kirk Bondad

Out of the 42 hopefuls, one man stood out: Kirk Bondad, a Filipino-German model and actor, representing the Philippines. With his commanding stage presence, polished public speaking, and cultural pride, he emerged as the clear frontrunner.

When the final announcement was made, Kirk was crowned Mister International 2025, becoming only the second Filipino to achieve this honour after Neil Perez in 2014. His performance throughout the contest earned praise, and he even placed in the Top 5 of the national costume segment, showing both flair and respect for tradition.

Why Kirk’s win matters

Kirk’s victory resonated across Asia and beyond. In the Philippines, fans erupted with joy on social media, hailing his success as proof of the country’s continued strength in the global pageant scene. Many saw his win as a reminder that Filipino talent shines brightly on international stages, whether in female or male competitions.

For Thailand, his crowning moment also validated the country’s role as a capable and respected host, further cementing its place in the world of pageantry.

Looking forward

As Mister International 2025, Kirk Bondad now steps into a role that is larger than himself. Beyond endorsements and appearances, his reign carries the weight of representation: of Filipinos on the world stage, of men who balance heritage and modernity, and of a pageant that has embraced change.

The crown may rest on his head, but the spotlight is on the competition itself, one that has managed to remain relevant by breaking traditions and redefining what it means to be Mister International.
