Gauteng residents should expect colder mornings this week as winter conditions move in, following a warm, sunny weekend in the northern parts of the country.
What to expect in Pretoria
Pretoria is forecast to be partly cloudy with daytime temperatures around 20°C and morning minimums starting at 10°C. From Tuesday onwards, overnight temperatures are expected to dip further to around 8°C, with daytime highs remaining between 18°C and 20°C for the rest of the week.
Johannesburg outlook
Johannesburg is also likely to see cool, cloudy conditions. Daytime temperatures are expected to range from 17°C to 19°C, while overnight lows should hover around 8°C for much of the week.
Rain and the broader national picture
According to AccuWeather, no rainfall is expected in Gauteng this week. Elsewhere, rainfall and thundershowers are developing across the southern and eastern parts of the country, though no severe weather incidents have been reported so far.
Western Cape recent disruptions
The Western Cape experienced two cold fronts last week that caused severe disruptions. Conditions there are expected to improve significantly over the coming days, with temperatures in most regions forecast to reach between 22°C and 23°C during the week.
