Dobsonville church elder appears in Johannesburg High Court on rape charge

A well-known Dobsonville church elder has appeared in the Gauteng Division of the High Court in Johannesburg on a charge of rape. The accused, Tshepo Ntsimane, 56, appeared in court on 3 September 2026 in a case linked to the alleged rape of a 12-year-old girl.

The charge relates to an incident that is alleged to have taken place on 3 April 2026 at the accused’s home in Dobsonville, Soweto. Ntsimane was arrested on 4 April 2026 and subsequently charged with rape.
