Kayla Itsines Heads to South Africa for PowerHER Fit Fest 2026
South Africa is set for a celebration of fitness, music and women’s wellbeing as internationally renowned fitness entrepreneur Kayla Itsines makes her debut visit to the country this November.
The global fitness personality will headline Motherkind’s PowerHER Fit Fest, a two-city wellness festival bringing together women for a day of movement, meaningful conversations, lifestyle experiences and live entertainment.
Scheduled for Johannesburg and Cape Town, the event aims to create a space where women can take a break from their busy routines, connect with others and prioritise their own wellbeing.
With an impressive combination of international talent and familiar South African personalities, PowerHER Fit Fest is bringing a fresh take on the traditional fitness event, blending exercise with entertainment, personal development and social experiences.
Kayla Itsines headlines the fitness experience
One of the biggest attractions will be the opportunity to work out alongside Kayla Itsines, whose fitness programmes have reached millions of women worldwide.
As co-founder of the globally recognised Sweat fitness platform, Itsines has become an influential name in women’s fitness, particularly through her accessible training programmes and focus on building strength.
Her South African debut will take centre stage at 4:15pm, when guests gather in the Wellness Arena for the headline workout.
She will be joined by local fitness personalities, including Gold’s Gym representatives in Johannesburg, Sweat1000 trainers in Cape Town and Monique Lopes.
For South African fitness enthusiasts, the session offers a rare opportunity to experience an international fitness personality’s approach to training in a live group setting.
More than fitness: Conversations about women’s wellbeing
PowerHER Fit Fest is also placing emphasis on the conversations that shape women’s everyday lives.
Throughout the day, the Pulse Talks programme will bring together voices from business, fitness, content creation and the social impact space for a series of interactive discussions.
Among the participating speakers are Motherkind founder Rechelle Kloeck, fitness entrepreneur Uleen Fourie, content creator Taryn Louch and NGO owner Savannah Cozzi.
Investec’s Elizabeth Fick and Tracey Ward will also contribute to the programme through the Health of Your Wealth discussion, exploring how physical health, financial wellbeing and personal choices influence the lives women want to build.
The programme will also feature Nandi Madida in Johannesburg and Vanessa Carreira in Cape Town, alongside media personality Tarryn Kay. Guests can additionally look forward to guided breathwork sessions with Zuraida Jardine.
The mix of discussions and wellness activities reflects the festival’s wider focus on encouraging women to invest in themselves, both physically and mentally.
A wellness village with plenty to explore
Away from the main stage, the PowerPARTNER Village will offer an opportunity to discover brands and experiences across the beauty, wellness and lifestyle industries.
Guests can expect interactive brand activations, product sampling and opportunities to explore participating businesses.
Food and refreshments will be part of the experience too, with food trucks providing options throughout the day. Motherkind will also be serving smoothies, collagen-infused drinks and its four new Kind Energy flavours.
The idea is to make the festival an enjoyable social experience, giving friends the opportunity to spend the day together while discovering new products and taking part in activities beyond the workout sessions.
Lady Zamar leads the evening entertainment
Once the day’s wellness programme winds down, the atmosphere will shift towards music and celebration.
South African music favourite Lady Zamar will headline the PowerHER After Party, with Kayzia also performing in both cities.
The Johannesburg entertainment line-up includes Ayanda MVP, Lady Lea and Indigo, while Cape Town guests can look forward to performances by Amy Jones, Roxy Louw and Mia.
G&G will also be part of the entertainment experience, adding to the festival’s evening celebrations.
By bringing live music into the programme, organisers are creating an event that moves from fitness and inspiration into an opportunity for women to relax, socialise and enjoy a night of entertainment.
A celebration of women taking time for themselves
For Motherkind founder Rechelle Kloeck, the festival is rooted in a simple idea: women deserve opportunities to put themselves first.
She says PowerHER Fit Fest was created to give women a place where they feel welcome, included and able to enjoy the best of fitness, wellness, conversation and entertainment.
That message is particularly relevant to the festival’s broader approach. Rather than concentrating on physical fitness alone, PowerHER brings together different aspects of wellbeing, recognising that looking after yourself can take many forms.
With a limited allocation of 3 500 tickets available in each city, the event is expected to attract women looking for something different from the usual fitness or entertainment offering.
Whether the main draw is meeting Kayla Itsines, joining a live workout, discovering wellness brands or enjoying Lady Zamar’s performance, the festival promises a varied programme with something for different interests.
