Limpopo Community Rallies to Find Missing Girl from Polar Park

Police in Mahwelereng, Limpopo, are urgently searching for 12-year-old Lily Ditshego Sepoloane, who went missing from Polar Park on Sunday. The young girl was last seen after changing clothes at home and heading to her aunt’s residence in Mokopane Extension 14.
According to police spokesperson Warrant Officer Marobo Seabela, Sepoloane failed to return home, prompting her family to search for her at relatives’ homes and nearby areas. Unfortunately, these efforts have not yielded any results.
Police have requested public assistance in locating Lily. “Anyone with information that can assist with the investigations should urgently contact the investigating officer, Warrant Officer Patrick Mogoane, on 072 245 2659, Crime Stop at 08600 10111, the nearest police station, or through the My SAPS App,” said Seabela.
At the time of her disappearance, the description of the clothes Lily was wearing remains unknown. Investigations into the case are ongoing.
The disappearance of Lily echoes a tragic case reported in Limpopo last September. Police launched a massive manhunt after a 12-year-old girl from Ha-Ramantsha village in the Vhembe District was found brutally murdered in Ha-Ravele village.
The victim had been selling vegetables in her neighborhood but failed to return home. Her family alerted the police, and a missing person case was opened. Later, her half-naked body was discovered in the bushes near a farm, with preliminary reports indicating she may have been strangled.
These distressing incidents highlight ongoing concerns about child safety in the province.
Authorities continue to urge parents and guardians to monitor their children closely and ensure they are not left unaccompanied. As the search for Lily continues, the Mahwelereng community is asked to remain vigilant and report any relevant information that could help bring her home.
