Three of four men arrested in Limpopo released after court appearance

Three of four men arrested in Rooiberg, Limpopo were released by a magistrate’s court after prosecutors could not positively link them to the offence, police said.

South African Police Service officers conducted an operation on Tuesday in Rooiberg, Limpopo following information received by police. During a tracing operation officers arrested four male suspects in the area.

Police recovered suspected stolen property and groceries during the arrests. The recovered items were estimated to be worth R8 000, according to police reports.

Court outcome

After appearing before the Thabazimbi Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, three of the four suspects were released on warning because they could not be positively linked to the offence. The remaining 41-year-old suspect remains in custody; his case was postponed to 7 August 2026 for a bail application and further police investigations.
