Phuthaditjhaba police appeal for help in rape case

Police in Phuthaditjhaba are asking the public to help trace a person of interest who may assist with an alleged rape investigation.

The appeal, shared by crime activist Yusuf Abramjee, says the Phuthaditjhaba Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit is looking into a case reported after an incident on Sunday, 12 July 2026, at about 18:00.

According to the report, the complainant was on her way home from a neighbour’s house when she was attacked by an unknown suspect. Police say the matter is being treated as a serious sexual offences case and anyone with useful information is being urged to come forward.
