Published

on

Lotto and Lotto Plus will offer a combined R43 million in prizes on Wednesday 10 June 2026 after a winless weekend left the games to roll over, Sizekhaya confirmed.

What the R43 million comprises

The total prize pool of R43 million is split across the three games as follows:

  • R25 million for Lotto
  • R3.5 million for Lotto Plus 1
  • R15 million for Lotto Max 5

Saturday 6 June draw that rolled over

The previous draw on 6 June 2026 produced no winners. The winning numbers for that Saturday draw were published as:

  • Lotto: 08, 16, 20, 40, 50, 51 (MP1: 22)
  • Lotto Plus 1: 11, 12, 35, 44, 45, 46 (MP1: 41)
  • Lotto 5 Max: 12, 25, 28, 31, 48, 49 (MP1: 20)

How the games now work under Sizekhaya

The rules for Lotto and Lotto Plus draws under the new operator Sizekhaya require players to select six different numbers between 1 and 52. Players can choose their own numbers or use Quick Pick to have numbers selected randomly.

A new optional feature allows players to select a Pick One (MP1) extra number at seven times the ticket price. Prizes are awarded to players who match at least three of the six drawn numbers, with larger prizes for more matches. Players who match all six numbers share the jackpot.

The published odds of matching all six numbers under the current format are 1 in 20 358 520.

Ticket buying and claiming basics

Tickets can be bought in-store at licensed retailers or through banking apps. Players may also create an account or use the mobile app.

How to claim winnings

To claim Lotto winnings under Sizekhaya, winners must meet the following requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have the winning ticket with the correct serial number
  • Possess a valid proof of ID
  • Have a valid South African bank account
  • Claim winnings within 365 days of the draw date

The article notes that winners from the previous ITHUBA era are now directed to Sizekhaya to collect outstanding monies and advises contacting Sizekhaya directly for further enquiries.

Cost and recent changes

The source reports that the cost of lotto entry under Sizekhaya has doubled. It also notes that ITHUBA ceased operations at the end of May 2026 and that the first PowerBall game run by Sizekhaya paid out R130 million.

Double-check your tickets and the draw results if you played recent draws.
