Riverdance returns to South Africa with spectacular 30th anniversary tour in 2027

South African theatre lovers are in for a spectacular treat next year as the world-famous Riverdance celebrates three decades on stage with a brand-new production set to tour Pretoria and Cape Town in April 2027.

After entertaining more than 31 million people across the globe, Riverdance 30: The New Generation will bring its signature blend of Irish dance, live music and breathtaking stage production back to local audiences as part of its anniversary celebrations.

The limited South African run is expected to be one of the country’s biggest live entertainment events of 2027, with tickets likely to sell quickly once sales open this week.

The internationally acclaimed production’s South African dates include:

• 9 – 11 April 2027 at the SunBet Arena at Time Square in Pretoria
• 16 – 18 April 2027 at GrandWest in Cape Town

Presented by Big Concerts in association with HOT 102.7FM and Kfm 94.5, the tour marks the show’s long-awaited return to South African stages.

Created especially for Riverdance‘s 30th anniversary, the latest production introduces a new generation of performers while refreshing the iconic show with updated choreography, striking costumes and cutting-edge visual effects.

Despite the modern makeover, fans can still expect the high-energy Irish dancing, live musicians and unforgettable soundtrack that turned Riverdance into one of the world’s most successful theatrical productions.
