Influencer and businesswoman Nadia Jaftha has said she fears she may be entering her “Bridezilla” era as wedding decisions begin to pile up while she and her fiancé prepare to marry this year.

From Bali engagement to mounting decisions

Jaftha and her business partner, Reece Meyer, became engaged in Bali last year. In a social media video shared recently, she announced they are getting married this year and described the planning process as overwhelming.

What she said about planning

Jaftha admitted she had never pictured her wedding before getting engaged. In the video she said:

“I never thought about what my wedding day was going to look like. I never thought about what my wedding dress would look like… I never thought about any of that,”

She added that making the many decisions required is now stressing her. Jaftha said the couple “haven’t given ourselves enough time” and that while “we do have people helping” she still faces the responsibility to choose details herself.

Small choices, big stress

Jaftha said she lacks confidence in her aesthetic sense for the wedding, noting directly:

“I don’t know what colour flowers I want. I don’t know,”

and joked about becoming a Bridezilla an “informal term for a bride-to-be who acts extremely demanding, selfish, and difficult during wedding planning.”

Support and next steps

She acknowledged help from others but framed key decisions as ultimately hers to make. Beyond that acknowledgement, she did not provide further details about vendors, venue, or specific dates.
