Civil Aviation Authority to Investigate Fatal Plane Crash

Fatal plan crash at the Springs Airfield during a photography event, resulting in the loss of two lives.

Pilot Fanie Bezuidenhout (68) from Boksburg, along with an unidentified passenger, was flying a Jodel F12 during a showcase for photographers at the Photographic Society of South Africa’s congress.

The event aimed to offer a unique experience for attendees, including motorcyclists and professionals from various industries. Emergency services and the Springs SAPS responded to the incident. The South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) initiated an investigation, and a preliminary report is expected within 30 days.
