Community Unites in Prayer for Edenvale

Representatives from Edenvale’s churches, including congregants and leaders, joined forces with SAPS, EMPD, Edenvale CPF, and private security companies for a solemn prayer walk dedicated to the community. The event, which took place on May 27, saw participants gathering at Horwoods’ Farm before embarking on a symbolic walk through town, returning to the park.

Reverends and pastors from various churches led the procession, fostering a sense of unity and solidarity among the community members.

Notable figures present during the prayer walk included support commander Lieutenant Colonel Nkuna, Ward 18 Clr Heather Hart, as well as representatives from EMPD and CPF.

During the event, Basholo, a prominent figure within the SAPS, expressed the importance of collaboration between the police force and the community. She emphasised that SAPS is committed to working alongside the community, churches, NGOs, government entities, and all relevant stakeholders to proactively combat crime and ensure the safety and well-being of the residents.
