The pair created 20 handmade bags filled with scarves, socks, facecloths, toothbrushes, and toiletries for the shelter. Lindokuhle Maluleka, the head of marketing at Dainfern College, expressed pride in the pair’s efforts, emphasising the school’s commitment to its vision.

Brown Lekekela from Green Door thanked the donors and highlighted the significance of their contribution in providing support and hope to victims of gender-based violence and femicide at the shelter, both women and men.

Green Door aims to empower women and provide a safe space for anyone affected by gender-based violence.
