Eden Park murder accused set to make plea

An Eden Park mother, Joanne Swartbooi, briefly reappeared in the Johannesburg High Court on April 17, as reported by Southern Courier.

During her appearance, the presiding judge postponed her matter to April 25, when she will possibly make a guilty plea. Swartbooi faces charges of murder and defeating the ends of justice after being accused of killing her boyfriend, Timothy Jacobs, with a baseball bat and burning his body.

Swartbooi remains in custody after being denied bail at the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court.
