Homeless Man Shot Dead After Asking for a Slice of Pizza

A homeless man was fatally shot after requesting food from his attacker in White River, Mpumalanga, on Saturday, 25th March, according to Briefly SA News Today.

According to Brigadier Selvy Mohlala, police spokesperson for the White River Police Station, the homeless man requested a slice of pizza but was refused. Subsequently, the homeless man hit the 39-year-old attacker with a chain.

The attacker then drew his weapon and shot the homeless man, who was dead at the scene. The shooter was immediately arrested and charged with murder.

The incident has sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some sympathising with the victim. In contrast, others have claimed that the 39-year-old was acting in self-defence. The accused is to appear in the White River Magistrate’s Court.
