On two separate occasions, three suspects were apprehended for drug possession. The first incident occurred at Goods and High Roads in Brakpan, while the second occurred on Soma Road in Actonville. Seizures of illicit substances, including Nyaope, mandrax, and crystal methamphetamine, underscored the commitment to combating drug-related issues.

On October 5, around 17:00, members acted on information provided by a trucking company, leading them to Taljaard Road in Jet Park, Boksburg. There, a suspect was arrested in possession of a red Scania truck and two super link trailers that had been reported stolen in an Alberton case. Additionally, two other trailers reported stolen in a Germiston case were recovered at the scene. The 43-year-old suspect is set to appear in the Boksburg Magistrates Court, facing charges related to the possession of a hijacked motor vehicle.

During a patrol on October 9 around 01:00 along the R23, officers encountered two women with ten large bags wrapped in plastic at the corner of Main Reef Road, Benoni. Upon further inspection, it was revealed that the bags contained counterfeit shoes with an estimated value of around R100,000. The suspects were promptly arrested and taken, along with the confiscated goods, to Benoni SAPS. While at the station, a 34-year-old male approached the arresting officers and offered them a bribe of ten thousand Rand (R10,000) to release the goods and suspects. He was apprehended on the spot for bribery and will be appearing in the Benoni Magistrates Court. The other two suspects will face charges related to possessing counterfeit goods.

Ongoing investigations will further shed light on these cases. The suspects related to drug offences will be brought to the Brakpan and Benoni magistrate courts, where they will face drug possession charges.
