The Springboks face the All Blacks at Ellis Park Stadium in Johannesburg on Saturday, 22 August, with thousands of rugby fans expected to make their way to the venue for the first Test of Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry tour.
Everything you need to know before heading to Ellis Park
For supporters heading to the match, planning your journey in advance could make the difference between arriving relaxed and getting caught in match-day traffic.
The match takes place at Ellis Park Stadium, also known as Emirates Airline Park, in Doornfontein, Johannesburg. Ticketmaster currently lists kick-off at 5:10pm on Saturday, 22 August 2026.
The SA Rugby match centre currently displays 3:10pm, so supporters should check the time shown on their official ticket before setting off.
Ellis Park Stadium
Ellis Park Stadium is located at the corner of Currey and Staib streets in Doornfontein, Johannesburg.
With a major international fixture expected to draw large crowds, motorists should allow extra travel time and avoid relying on last-minute parking near the stadium.
Springboks vs All Blacks tickets
SA Rugby says tickets for Springbok Tests in South Africa are sold through its official Ticketmaster platform. The organisation has also warned supporters against buying tickets from unofficial resellers.
Ticketmaster currently lists the Ellis Park Test and provides the official ticketing route for the fixture.
Check your ticket details before travelling, including the venue, date, kick-off time and seating information.
Park & Ride?
Park & Ride services will operate for the Springboks vs All Blacks match at Ellis Park.
The official Park and Ride SA service says buses will depart from selected locations from 1pm, with the final departure no later than 3pm. Return buses will operate after the match, with the final return service scheduled for no later than 8pm.
The service includes return transport between the selected departure point and Ellis Park, managed boarding and priority routes into and out of the stadium precinct.
Supporters who book Park & Ride will receive an email with their departure-point map, parking instructions and additional match-day information.

Park and Ride SA recommends using its service because of expected road closures, restricted parking and heavy traffic around the stadium precinct.
For those travelling independently, build extra time into the journey and check traffic updates before leaving.
