City officials are still trying to determine the cause of the explosion in Bree Street Johannesburg CBD that killed one person and injured 41 others during rush hour on Wednesday afternoon. According to Eyewitness News, Egoli Gas, the company that runs the pipeline network in the city, said that its network wasn’t compromised and hadn’t seen a pressure reduction. Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi said they received a report from the company that it was a gas leak, but they say it’s minimal.
