liberte.joburg - Liberté Claims Top Honors in Restaurant Week's April Edition

Restaurant Week, the popular initiative that allows diners to enjoy discounted rates at a wide selection of restaurants nationwide has concluded its latest edition. The organisers have released the results, as voted by the diners, and there is great news for Gauteng residents: Liberté, a relatively new eatery in the suburbs of Johannesburg, has emerged as the top-rated restaurant as reported by the Sunday Times.

During this edition of Restaurant Week, a total of 125 restaurants participated, and over 25,000 patrons took advantage of the opportunity to dine out at reduced prices. After their dining experience, participants were invited to share their reviews and rate the restaurant they visited. Reviewers were asked to assign scores out of 10 in three categories: cuisine, service, and ambience. The overall scores were calculated based on the highest average score from a minimum of 20 reviews for each participating restaurant.

Liberté, located in Craighall Park, Johannesburg, received an exceptional overall score of 9.9, including a perfect 10/10 for service. Natasha Maciel, the owner of Liberté, was overjoyed upon receiving the news. “I was very emotional… what an incredible honor for the little underdog with a big heart,” she expressed. Maciel is also the owner of Pronto, a highly regarded Italian restaurant just across the road.
