Rand Water will implement planned maintenance on its H5 Pipeline to facilitate the integration of a new section into the existing infrastructure, which plays an essential role in the water supply to various parts of the City of Ekurhuleni.

According to the City of Ekurhuleni, scheduled to take place from 18:00 on Friday, June 9, 2023, until noon on Sunday, June 11, 2023, the maintenance project is an integral part of Rand Water’s efforts to enhance and upgrade its infrastructure for long-term sustainability. However, due to this maintenance, some residents in the City of Ekurhuleni may experience temporary water supply shortages.

Rand Water has taken proactive measures by providing a 21-day advance notification to the affected municipal customer, allowing ample time for communication, planning, and implementing contingency measures. The City of Ekurhuleni will communicate the specific impact on water supply and provide its customers with a comprehensive list of affected areas. The City apologises for any inconvenience caused by this maintenance project and appreciates your understanding.
