South Hills tower

Johannesburg Water and Rand Water teams are onsite at South Hills, addressing the area’s critical water supply issue, particularly at the South Hills tower. The water level in the tower has significantly dropped, leading to water shortages for customers residing in higher-lying areas.

Affected areas within the South Hills tower zone include Risana, South Hills, Thulisa Park, Steeledale, Linmeyer, Oakdene, Rosettenville, and Klipriviersberg Estate. Due to the reduced capacity of the tower, customers in these areas may experience a complete lack of water.

The teams have implemented alternative water supply measures to mitigate the impact of the water shortage. Johannesburg Water and Rand Water will deploy mobile tankers to provide water to specific locations, focusing on Risi and Johan Meyer Streets in Linmeyer, Risana Street in Risana, South Hills Clinic, Geneva Road in South Hills, and Tulisa Park.
