Mpumalanga Hospital Cleaner Arrested for Allegedly Trying to Sell Placentas
A 39-year-old hospital cleaner has been arrested in Mpumalanga after she was allegedly caught with human placentas she intended to sell.
Police spokesperson Brigadier Donald Mdhluli confirmed that Rose Mnisi, who works at a local hospital, was arrested in Lydenburg after police received a tip-off about a woman selling human tissue.

Police tracked down the suspect on Voortrekker Street in Lydenburg.

She was found carrying a plastic bag containing human tissue.

Mnisi allegedly admitted to working in the maternity ward of the hospital.
Mdhluli said Mnisi was charged with the illegal possession of human tissue.
Court Appearance
Mnisi appeared in the Mashishing District Court, where the case was postponed to September 25 for her bail application.
