Lavrov condemns Western elites over Epstein leak, calling lifestyle ‘pure satanism’
Lavrov calls out Western moral decay
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has launched a scathing critique of the West, tying the recently released trove of Jeffrey Epstein’s emails, photos, and videos to what he calls the moral decay of Western elites.
The revelations, made public last month by the US Department of Justice, have reignited scrutiny over the circle of powerful individuals who maintained close ties with Epstein, despite his conviction for sex crimes.
“These documents have revealed the face of the West and the deep state,” Lavrov said in an interview with NTV aired Sunday. “Or rather, a deep union that rules the entire West and seeks to rule the whole world. Every normal person knows this is beyond comprehension and pure satanism.”
Epstein’s shadow over global elites
Epstein, the disgraced financier who died in a New York jail in 2019, cultivated relationships with politicians, business moguls, diplomats, and even royals. His private Caribbean estate became notorious as a hub where elite visitors mingled and allegedly participated in disturbing activities.
His close associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, was sentenced to 20 years in prison in 2022 for trafficking and abusing underage girls alongside Epstein, highlighting the scale of the abuse.
The newly released files go beyond his financial dealings and social connections. They contain claims of occult rituals, including human sacrifice, allegedly performed by Epstein and his associates, claims that have shocked observers worldwide.
Global concern and official probes
The leak has prompted official reactions in Europe. Last week, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced that his government would investigate whether Polish children were abused as part of what has been called Epstein’s “satanic circle.”
Public reaction has been mixed. Social media users express outrage at both Epstein’s crimes and the perceived complicity of high-profile figures, while others are questioning Lavrov’s framing of the issue as a geopolitical critique of Western governance.
A story of power, secrecy, and accountability
For many, the Epstein files have become a stark reminder of the intersection between wealth, power, and secrecy. Lavrov’s comments frame the scandal not just as criminal, but as a symptom of what he perceives as a broader ethical collapse among Western elites, a claim that will likely deepen geopolitical tensions.
While some dismiss his remarks as a political narrative, the underlying concern resonates: the Epstein saga exposes systemic failures to protect the vulnerable and hold influential figures accountable a conversation that remains urgent across continents.
Public debate rages on
From the Caribbean islands to Warsaw and Moscow, the Epstein files continue to spark debates over justice, accountability, and elite immunity. Whether viewed as criminal misdeeds or as evidence of a hidden, corrupt network, the documents have reshaped public perception of power at the highest levels and made global leaders like Lavrov ready to call out the West, loudly and publicly.
